Wow I was actually going to post on the same exact thing but this man beat me to it. I see a few 03 S2K's for 12-13k with almost 80k miles on them each. That looked like a good deal to me especially if I can knock some more money off the top. I was reading on the forums at that is AP1 right? Sounds like a good deal to me.

Why not? It can easily be done.

I have my car 37,000 miles and going on 5 years...i have put a set of tires, a valve adjustment, fluids and filter changes...that's it. i do my own oil changes, have the dealer adjust the valves(one time) and change the fluids. I have a K&N so that just keeps on going. the cabin filter is a snap to change. the car is superb...just fluids and filters...like most honda's and yet it is an exotic and somewhat unique ride with superb performance numbers and features. it is after all a honda.

I drive it daily and have another car which keeps the use down.

you will see prices all over the place..check carfax...get an 02-03 with some mileage, but it's honda built...you will be fine...i bought mine 4 years old...for 19K out the door..still runs great

I'd sell you mine with 51K on it now, but I have 10K in the engine. good luck. Be patient..you will find what you want.
i agree, ive been lookin for a s2k the past month, and there are cars that are the same year and very similiar mileage to eachother but vary in price by the thousands

Well instead of starting a new thread I thought I would just ask in this one!

2002 S2000

What do you guys think of this? Do you feel this price is reasonable? I could probably talk em down a bit but just thought I'd ask your input..if its still there next week I'll probably go take a look at it.

haha yeah good point..

anyway its an 02 with 52,111 miles on it going for $15991, and its at a Honda dealer to (if that means much)

Could probably talk em down a bit but just curious about what you guys think since you all would have more experience at this than me!

My main issue is with insurance..my grandparents help me out with insurance on my current car (actually they pay all of it) and i have the car payment. We got an insurance quote on an 06 and it was super high. Hoping that cause of the MY02 it might go down or if i can get it for a cheap enough monthly payment I can pay the insurance difference..

If they will get it under their name, if they dont already have it that way, it would help with insurance rates.

last week i payed 15.2k for an 03 with 33k miles. So im thinking thats pretty steep. Is it honda certified?

as far as I can see no its not certified. I'm not terribly worried about the car having problems if its on a dealer lot and..well its a honda lol although at the same time it can have a assload of problems all the same..

this being the case I can probably talk em down
