SEV Power redux - a modest proposal
Now THIS is getting good!! As a lawyer, I have to suggest that you really nail down the specifics here. 4373, you should pick the baseline method (dyno type, 1/4mi., whatever) and choose an exact base HP gain, above which you do not collect. Then twohoo should escrow the money with the independent third party.
Who needs science when we can bet on it?

Rev,
4373 points out two of the key ideas here for those air cleaners...they use electricity and a wire mesh (not magnets). If these guys at least said those magnets plug into the car's battery I would be a bit slower on my arguments, but no such luck. Those air ionizers DO work (no moving parts), but the SEV system is claiming a similar principle of operation, but without the use of electricity. Also, the racing version I think was closer to $3500 for a "claimed" gain of 31.3 HP...still about $100/1 HP, but that assume it actually CAN make HP

However, if you disprove that the racing system works, we can pretty much rule out the street version.
But I fully agree with your point as to the money factor.

Dear Mr. Fukui,
Thank-you for your quick response. The general forum idea is to eliminate the posibility of "dyno error" from magnetic forces as you indicated on the website. Thus, the desire to perform 20-30 runs for 0-60 and .25 mile times. If the resulting HP increase is 30+hp, the performance should be quite obvious with the time runs. Alternately, I can request the group attempt to arrange for a dyno run for you (I will CC: this message to s2000online.com).
Again, thank-you for your quick response. We would very much like to evaluate your product. Please let me (us) know what we can do to further this evaluation.

My question is this: Given that the SEV does indeed work...if a certain type of dyno can interfere with the effects, what's to stop other magnetic field generating devices or objects from doing the same? For example, the high voltage power supplies in the HID headlights or passing over a big metal bridge. I would hate to be driving down the road and suddenly have 30+ hp stripped away.
