It might be a good idea, before he puts his reputation behind SEV. He could also explain how his exhaust give 15ps increase, while Mugen can only get an extra ~13ps with header AND exhaust.

Credibility is hard to regain once it is lost.

I understand that; the Mugen number I quoted was the max gain at any RPM; the increase in peak hp was even smaller. I just find 15ps hard to believe when no other exhaust, even the mighty Mugen, can come close to his claimed increase. I also couldn't find a dyno chart, just a claim of 15ps. Now, we also have a hood that is claimed to cut water temperature by 10C.

I wouldn't have paid any attention to any of this if I hadn't stumbled into a thread where he claimed that SEV worked. It looks like everyone is so busy saying welcoming a pseudo-celebrity that their brains got left in the drawer somewhere.

Anyway, this is my last post regarding JJ. If I say anything else I will be accused of bashing him or worse. Let the fools be parted from their money.

TANQUEREY

JS quoted their figure on a DYNOPAK

Mugen's figure is on an Engine Dyno.

THEY ARE NOT COMPARABLE.

***********

Even though it is true that the engine dyno should read a larger absolute increase there are many many variables. Unless you put the two on the same dyno - forget about such comparisons

I think that you are correct on the hps ratio (actually .9865 I think), but that would make nearly 7 hp difference.

Just to address an earlier point,
the highest non-pulsed magnetic field is between 20-25 Tesla
the highest long-pulse (~1second) is 40+ Tesla

and I have BEEN at the lab where they routinely do 1500-2000 Tesla using explosives to crush a copper coil (Los Alamos Nat'l Lab where I was employed for a while)

Sorry for beating on this dead horse: JDM F20C produce 250HP because they have a higher compression ratio of 11.7:1. It would be interesting to run a JDM F20C with our 91 Octane gasoline to see what will happen.
