Thanks to everyone who has replied in this thread, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

RED MX5, i have definitely ruled out the possibility of a leak as i have a clean piece of cardboard on my garage floor underneath where the car is parked, and my coolant has also checked out clean and free of oil.

When i take my car to the dealer for the next oil change i will be switching to a conventional oil, and as suggested i will also inquire about getting a leakdown/compression test performed on the car.

Furthermore, I may also look into upgrading PCV valves as S-turn AP1 has done or installing krank vents as an alternate solution.

I will keep you guys updated on my findings in case others with similar issues are interested in the causation of this oil consumption.

One thing I didn't think of before; Have you taken a look at your spark plugs? You could have a problem that is limited to one cylinder, so knowing what the plugs look like might be helpful.

Honestly, if you were burning a quart every 1000 miles I'd be less concerned, but a quart in 500 miles is a bit much. Hopefully it's nothing major, and changing to a good dyno oil will reduce it to a more acceptable level.

Keep us posted.
