Default shaking wheel

I don't know why, but my front left tire is shaking. Its not a violent shake, but it is noticable. I tried tightening it, but it still spins off balanced. What should I do? Thanks

Did you inspect the rim? Take it off maybe there is damage somewhere you haven't noticed.

At first I was going to say hub rings, but your rims are stock and it's only happening to one side. Try having the tire balanced. My guess is your rim is bent.

It doesn't have to be bent.

1. He may have lost a wheel weight;

2. The lugs could be overtightened (check for the correct torque);

3. It could be the start of a tire belt delamination. To check this, just jack the car up, spin the tire, and watch for out-of-round.

4. Etc. Like a chunk of something attached to the inside of the rim, or uneven tire wear...

I'm something of a maniac about having a perfectly balanced front end -- I just hate vibration in the steering wheel -- and I've actually experienced every one of these things.

its weird because I don't even notice it is shaking while I am in the car. The only way I know is because people driving next to me, told me it looked like it was shaking. Then after that, I stuck my head far out and saw it was shaking.

You may cause some serious bearing/joint damage if its bent... if its just off balance probably won't hurt anything too bad. Take the tire to a shop and have them balance it for 10 bucks.

Either way, keep your speed down!

if it is the steering wheel moving back and forth, that is also a potential sign of a tire problem. carefully inspect for belt separation. i had this happen to me on another car a couple of months ago. my brother diagnosed this one by phone for my car, and he was right- had to replace the tires.
