Default a shhhhhhhh noise

i hear this noise like shhhhhhh from the right side, possibly underneath the car when my rpms are above about 4k and the throttle is mostly open. it's pretty quiet, you have to really listen for it. could this be some kind of leak between my header/test pipe (stock header), test pipe/exhaust, or exhaust (i have HKS so there's a lot of joints where a leak is possible). or would a leak from any of these pipes be much louder?

and i know that it might be hard to imagine a "shhhhh noise" but i can't describe it any better. maybe like someone is blowing as hard as they can out of a small straw?

Maybe the intake sucking in air, when I had a vented C/F hood I could hear the air box sucking in air.

Your car is trying to tell you to be quiet.

Really good chance the noise is coming from the intake, I have read about the K&N intake making a sucking noise at idle.

Is it on the freeway? Mostly during traffic?

I drove my self NUTS!!!! on the way to laughlin for 5 HRS . I was by myself, and had the radio off the whole time! I couldn't help but listen to it the noise.

I did a basic visual inspection myself. Couldn't find anything. After a while, I noticed that the noise is most noticeable when I am next to the median or next to a car. I think its just the way the air feeds off the car. Because the noise drove me nutz so bad, That I had my GF drive the car while I rode in another, and I couldn't hear it at all

I have the same noise, and its from the right side after 3.5-4kish I just chalked it up to the TCT that I will be replacing this week. But the noise it so hard to pin down to engine speed/throttle/car speed etc so if it doesnt go away with the TCT replacement I will stop worrying about it. BTW I have a Test pipe too.
