Guys with Redline boots, how the hell did you install them? The holes in my boot didn't line up with the OEM holes at all and when I sent them pictures they told me it was fine, I just ordered a boot for the wrong year . Terrible part and customer service.

I think they sell a boot patterned after AP1 cars only. I have direct experience with this. I originally had bought an AP2 center console for my AP1, so I ordered a shift boot from them to change it out. The holes mostly lined up but a few of them flat-out didn't. I had to poke new holes. The AP2 boot and retainer ring definitely has a different hole pattern. I decided to not go with the AP2 center console and just run the one from my car, but I had already sold the AP2 console with the redline boot I had installed. I ordered another boot and it fit without issue.

Their shift boot was made from an AP1 pattern and sold for all years. It's a mistake on their part that they should be made aware of; but I think they insist it should fit all years....Unfortunate for AP2 guys....It's a nice piece.

Never noticed that in my boot. Mine had all holes and fit perfectly through all the pins
