shift console trim

Default shift console trim

has anybody out there scraped off all the coating on the shift console trim piece.

mine is starting to peal and look like crap.

i'm also looking for other options,

Your use of the "Search" function will be richly rewarded.
Some have been very happy using steel wool to remove the paint.
I am happy with my Honda titanium piece that covers the plastic.

I did mine this weekend...rubbing alcohol took that paint (which was scraping on mine, also) right off. I love it and everyone I've showed it to loves it also. The best way to describe it, is that it looks chrome. Try it...

i remember some time ago i saw a post similiar to the one i tossed out today.

at the time ours was doing fine, and i was treating it (so i thought) with kindness.

i was wrong, now i know what i'm doing this weekend.

Yes, all you need is rubbing alcohol to get the chrome out.

If there is chrome under the trim piece then will there be chrome under the dash pieces (radio and air area) with similar finish?
