Default Shift Knob Adjustment

Basically someone took my shift knob off and now everytime I screw it on, the numbers are facing the dash and not me. Any thoughts on what I am not doing?
Thanks.

Yep, you're not turning the adjustment nut to lock the knob into the correct position.

its very simple
just adjust the shift knob the way you like it then lock the nut.

If you have a "Countersunk/Shift Knob" you must have taken the lock-nut, off. Unscrew the shift-knob, use "Blue" Locktight, on the shaft, screw knob back on as far as it will go, then, back it off till the shift pattern is where you want it. Let set for an hour. You will be ready to "GO" Note: Be sure to use "Blue" Locktight. If you use the "Red" you won't be able to get the knob off, in the future!

Knew that was there for some reason, the nut, just wasnt sure if it rotated. I know its simple, just the fact that I did not do this myself, I did not know how to correct it. Thanks for the replys.
