After reading this thread, I noticed that my shifter doesn't move at all, yet this thread makes it sound like business as usual.

I'm not complaining since I don't experience it but I am surprised more of you take it as casually as you do.

i wish i knew how to shift flawlessly... i feel like there are so many tiny differences in shifting methods but it seems like such a simple process.. i don't know my clutch just feels like it could do a better job of grabbing but its probably just old or worn.. (would hope not on a 30k mile car.. and clutch buzz is gay too) and my gearbox behaves differently every time i drive the car.. sometimes the shitfer slides into gear like there is crisco all up inside there and the next thing i know it feels like a bit of metal clipping metal trying to get the thing to go into gear.. i love this car despite the quirks and i'm just hoping that i don't have to spend too much time and money on the little fixes.. definetely my biggest complaint about this car is trying to learn how to shift it correctly.. maybe i should get a fluid change and see what that does? second biggest complaint is the stupid map sensor.. which is i guess what makes my car slow as hell sometimes.. even though i have tried to 'whack it' a few times.. i feel like i should just replace every part on the car that annoys me even before they fail just so i don't have to worry about doing something while driving thats going to make them fail..
