So Rick what do you think of the diameter of the Voodoo knob?

My impression is that it is too small. At about 1.75" in diameter it seems a bit too small in my hand, I would prefer more of my fingers to grip it. A billiard ball is a bit over 2" and that feels just about perfect in my hands. I have PM'ed back and forth with Muz and the knob he made is 50mm (just under 2") and I suspect that would be the perfect size. Thoughts?

I also think that one should consider how it feels in one's hand. It may look nice and have a shorter throw, but if it is not comfortable in the palm, then what good is it ?

I can tell you that I have used a MOMO straight silver shifter and it was awful. It was so highly extended from the boot, I felt like I was shifting with a baseball bat, so I can understand the voodoo knob.

just my $.02

One thing I have to say, the shifter is hell in 40 degree heat when it has been in the sun for a few hours!

nine grand,

The super extra fine (4x) steel wool, the kind sold at Home Depot and the like for finishing and refinishing work.

Triple-H,

I like the Voodoo size, but I have a small hand. If Muz's is larger that might suit you better.

Omigod, now I'm more confused than ever but someone had a good suggestion:

Try out a bunch at one of our get-togethers...and then decide!

My ideal shift knob:

1. Shaped like the OEM
2. Sits low or lower than a Voodoo
3. Weighs the same as a Ti (heavy)

I currently have a Ti Voodoo knob and love everything about it except the way it looks. Don't get me wrong, a round shift knob looks racy, but the shape does not go with the shift boot. It belongs with a gated shifter without boot cover.
