Default Shift Points

Just out of curiosity, I was wondering where you guys shift in the RPM band. I've been trying the "Honda recommended" shift points the last few days and third to fourth seems a little long. Here they are:

1-2: 15 mph
2-3: 25
3-4: 40
4-5: 47
5-6: 52

I never ever have looked at the speedometer and thought, "Oh my! I need to shift!" For optimal gas mileage, shift sooner. For more fun, shift later.

Sorry to post something that's been talked about a lot. That's what the search feature is for. :idiot:

Yeah I shift by sound in daily driving, but just found the recommended shift points to be strange when I ran across them. Had to give them a try.

WWHHHATT?

I shift when I get the second red flash. That's the only real shift point!

Normal driving is around 3.5-5k. I can't imagine shifting from 1-2 at 15mph unless I'm stuck going 15mph for a while.

These are AP2 recommended shift points. 1st to 2nd at 15 is just shy of 3500 rpm.
