Wow some of you guys really rape your cars lol. I can't imagine shifting at or near redline every time. I agree 3k-3.5 seems to be the norm for DD.

Around 3k.

Obviously more if I need any amount of power.

Almost all of us are joking because the 'shift point' discussion is not only well over discussed but also completely useless.

Shift when you want, who gives a sh!t where anyone else does. If you cannot figure out where to shift, sell the car man! sell it now!

I'm joking... having fun, so don't take it all so seriously

It's all sound.. I don't go by rpms. If you are good you will know what rpm you are at without looking down at all. I'm not quite as precise with that as I'd like to be but I'm gettin there.

I hate when that happens. Wish I could swap in an AP1 secondary gear reduction into my AP2. I wouldnt have to rev as high as I do now to get around. My Lexus doesnt even need to hit 2000 rpm to reach the same speed.

Then your acceleration would be hurt. I'd rather rev higher and go faster. If I could put a 4.44/4.56 final drive in my car for less than ~$1k installed I'd do it in a heartbeat.
