Traded in my 2000 Eclipse GT 5 Speed.

Question:
I recall my '97 Prelude's manual shifter used to vibrate slightly when idling at a red light or when stopped. The Eclipse never did that. I notice the S2000's shifter vibrates slightly like the Prelude's.

Is this normal for the S2k?:

 

Completely normal because the shifter uses direct linkage instead of a cable.

 

Makes sense.
I had the Eclipse in 2x over the course of 2.5 years to have the cables replaced/tightened, because the cables started making a cranking noise after every 10-12k miles. All covered under warranty though.
