Hi,

I wonder at what RPM do you guys shift from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd gear under normal conditions. I'm just curious and would like to know how other owners shifting pattern is different from mine. Thanks for any contribution

 

Manuel says something like...

1-2 15mph
2-3 25mph
3-4 35mph
4-5 45mph
5-6 55mph

However... During normal days, I'm more of a...

1-2 21mph
2-3 36mph
3-4 48mph
4-5 55mph
5-6 74mph

During fun days, I'm around...
1-2 40ish mph
2-3 60ish mph
3-4 80ish mph
4-5 I just skip that one and go straight into 6th.

I try to shift at the recommended shift points noted in the User's Manual, but I tend to find that in real world traffic, I'm usually shifting at around 4000 RPM when doing the 1->2, and 2->3 shifts.

 

1-2 20
2-3 35
3-4 45
4-5 60
5-6 75 and up

1-2, 2-3, and sometimes 3-4 at 9K all the way!!!
