Short Shifter from AxialFlow Engineering
I agree with the two reviews above. At first I was skeptical of a short shifter for the S as I already had a voodoo knob and the shifting was already relatively short. It took about 20 minutes to install the shifter as it was very straight forward. After driving the car for the first time I was blown away. The feel of the shifter is just amazing. Its hard to describe how it feels, but the best I can do to describe it is to say that it feels like you are opening and closing the action on a rifle when you shift. It is just so precise. Also when the car is in neutral and you move the shifter back and forth it has some more resistance now where it feels like a higher quality piece. . For anyone that is skeptical of the shifter, give it a try first before you knock it.
I know I said I'd post some pictures tonight, but we ran into a snag with the supercharger install, and I just didn't have time to take any pictures. I'll try again tomorrow. With the stock shift knob the RP shifter is the same height (or very close to the same height) as the stock shifter. SC_Highlander's photo above shows the RP shifter with a VooDoo knob, which sits much lower on the stick than the stock knob (the VooDoo knob is countersunk to sit lower and shorten shift throws a little).
If you don't already have a countersunk knob I'd suggest trying the RP shifter with the stock knob.
The install is exactly like repacking the stock shifter with grease, only instead of reinstalling the stock shifter you drop in the RP shifter instead. I didn't time the install, but I think it was under 1/2 hour. I did the install by myself, without the benefit of a shop manual, so I have to believe that almost anyone could do it.

I'm curious, how much more effort is required when completing a shift? I'm assuming that the lower height of the shift knob equates to a shorter lever arm from the pivot, and therefore more effort will be needed to select each gear. One of the things I enjoy about the stock shifter is the ability to "flick" the tranny from gear to gear with minimal effort (for instance, the 3-4 shift). With the added effort, is everything still flickable with the new RP shifter?
