As posted in Richard's AF Short Shifter thread, some before and after pics I took of an Axial Flow short shifter installed. Throw has changed from 2.75 inched to 2.0 inches (front to back, measured at the fatest part of the shift knob).

These things are just about ready, just need to finish the polimer parts. I tried to contact the forum about a group buy but got no answer. If anyone out there wants to do it and knows how Email me and I'll respond. After that they are going to sell through a vender(TBA).

I can't say price on here so you'll have to get it from someone else. Like whoever does the group buy. I'm thinking about 10-12 units then they go through the normal channels. Again, I'm only thinking nothing is set in stone yet.

lol, it looks like a voodoo priest sprinkled a shrinking head potion over the stock shifter. I'm not saying it doesn't make for a better shifting experience, but dang! That looks like something a doctor would perscribe Viagra for

I was JUST looking for this thread, and was having trouble because search seems to be down again.

It's like you were reading my mind by bumping your thread.

Mine has less movement than the original, but does transmit more low level vibration, but not so much as to be bothersome; more like what I expect to feel through a good shifter. As for buzzing, I can't say, because the retainer plate on my shifter was slightly undercut, and the stick will occasionally buzz against the plate. Richard will be sending me a production retainer, which he says will eliminate the occasional buzz. I'll let you guys know if I have any buzzes after the new retainer plate is installed, but frankly, it won't make any difference to me. There is NO WAY I could ever go back to the stock shifter now. This thing is just too sweet.

AND, I finally got a picture of my install with the stock knob.

Nice

I think you're the first S2ki member to install a 40 inch plasma into his dash.

The shifter in a race car should be as close to the steering wheel as possible, so the race car driver wastes little time taking his hand off the wheel shifting. I personally hope this short shifter kit would stay stock height while providing shorter shift and more postive feel. But that possibly would hurt sales....
