Richard, what about the pre-production shifters, are we still going to receive the production pieces? I posted this a few days ago, but never heard back from you. Thanks -Michael.

When I talked to Richard, that was the only part that needed to be made to complete the shifter he had produced.

Thanks for the response , but what was the only part that needed to be made? I'm assuming that he will ship that part to all of us that bought the pre-production ones? BTW, I like the picture on your website for the RP SS, it looks very familiar . -Michael.

The part he has yet to make, at the time of our conversation, was the new, update retainers.

And your Pics were the best I could find. Normally it would have been one of our cars, but I am waiting for the delivery of my SS. I did not think you would mind.

Thanks

That was basically my point....because I don't see a point here
Is it just "cooler" to have it or what am I missing?
This was all covered in the review at the top of the thread.

The distance from the steering wheel to the shift knob, with the RP shifter and stock shift knob, is slightly less than the distance between the steering wheel and shift knob on a Formula Ford or FV. Throw may be slightly shorter, while feel is about the same.

As I suggested in the review, you should try one of these things before passing judgement. Not many of us have complained about the feel of the S2000 shifter, because most of us have never experienced anything better, but once you experience it there's a good chance that you'll like it. Some, however, may think it's "notchy" or have other complaints, because you can feel what's going on in the transmission. Some don't need that, and some don't want it, but most S2000 owners are likely to find it very appealing. Try it and see for yourself.

Stratocaster, I do not mind at all. Good luck with the sales, but i'm sure you won't need it as the shifter is amazing!

Yours was shipped yesterday. But with the preproduction plate. The new ones are being drilled right now. You will get one of the new ones as will everyone else. Shipping of those will start tommorow.
