For the price difference you could have a top of the line TV, a used motorcycle, a supercharger, a Mugen Carbon Fiber hardtop...the list goes on and on.

I've owned my '04 S2000 for less than a week. However in going through the decision process I would say that there are other factors than money to consider. As a newcomer to RWD and sports cars I was not considering the S2000 because of it's reputation. Then I read the articles on the new '04. I spent about 6 months making up my mind on which car. I was offered a new '03 and I wasn't tempted at all. So far I love the car, and didn't even think twice about the cost difference. But that's my situation. You'll have to decide for yourself based on your own situation. But if you go read the articles and the posts here you'll find there are many that are in favor of the '04 changes.

If you are going to keep the car stock, get the 04. If you are going to upgrade the engine, wheels, with the money you saved than get the 03 I guess. It would be hard to upgrade the drivetrain/CF synchros though.

I can buy a brand new 2004 S2000 for $29,995 or a brand new leftover 2003 for $25,500.
