Should I remove the CAT?
Is there much to be gained? Or more importantly anything to loose!!
Im hoping it will give me a little more power and a bit more noise from my exhaust. I have a HKS Hiper and also a Injen CAI. Your probably thinking "isnt that loud enough" but I love noisey cars and my previous car was a VERY loud 2002 Lotus Elise.
On the Elise when I removed the Cat I had to buy this small electrical thing that stopped the engine management light from coming on. Is there something similar for the S?
Any advice would be great
Thanks in advance

Removing the Cat. on the S2000 with give you minimal gains.
However, expect to see
- CEL (unless you have an 02 simulator)
- increased throttle response
- increased exhaust noise
- stinky exhaust fumes
- minor weight reduction

I've driven behind an s2k with no cat, and it stank!
One of the beauties of the S is that it's a high-performance car with Ultra Low emissions. Removing the cat doesn't add much in the way of emissions, but gives it gives it the emissions of a 1970 oldsmobile.
