Should I Return This CF Hood?? (pics)
It's good to know that I have a manufacture that support their customer and their dealer. I hope everything works out Pete. Much props to Shawn at Seibon Carbon Fiber.

The hood manufacturer asked me to sell the defective hood.
I have received a few PMs about it already, and I will respond again to those. I think two of the offers were around half-price, and one offer was for $450 shipped to CO.
I would like to sell it locally, to avoid shipping costs, which are around $100. Also, I can't guarantee the packaging. I will try to put it in the same box, and use the same packing that the replacement hood comes in.
It will not be sold until I receive the replacement hood, which should be within 10 days.
I can't spend much time dealing with selling the hood, but I'll do my best.
I won't be keeping any of the money from the sale of the hood, it will be going to Shawn at Seipon.
Post here, or PM me if you are interested.

Damn I had this whole post here about how I there are defects in all CF hoods, especially cheap knockoffs, then I took a look at the pics again. The front of that one is unacceptable even for a cheapie, go after the manufacturer.

Yup thats my fault. I see that post now, I missed it. You know how it can be reading through multi page posts, you tend to start skimming over the end with what you want to say already in mind
Anyway glad the situation was taken care of and gald to see the manufacturer come through.

By the way Evo, I sensed some defensiveness in your post asking me to read the last post, I wasn't trying to knock the hood at all, but it is a cheaper "knockoff" version of another hood. I didnt mean to imply that it was "cheap," I apologize if it came out that way.

no problem. Apology accepted. Just that we and the manufacture have went out our way to make sure every customer is happy. Both fiancially and time wise. We took care of this customer and the siuation. Everybody was happy at the end. The hood is copy of another design. But we try to provide what most s2000 customer are after. A nice design of a light weight hood for an affordable price. How many people you know are willing to pay $3000 for a hood and on top of it. Pay the shipping and wait 4 months for it. And this is just an alternative product at a great price.
