I kinda have the same situation...but my gf's pregnant. However, I'm keeping the s2k. Perhaps something for you to consider? Unless finances don't permit.

You should have driven it more and enjoyed it while you could have. They most likely would have offered $19K if it was an '04 w/ 30K. It appears to me that the mileage really doesn't kill the value of an S as much as people believe.

Resale value be damned, ... drive it and enjoy it while you have it!

I have an '05 w/ 25K that I'll run past Carmax this weekend, I'll let you know what they offer.
let me know too, i plan on doing the same.

a baby will easily fit in the trunk, no need to sell the S.

I went to carmax today with my IS and the sales guy told me that they typically offer 5g's less than what they are going to sell it for, so if you find something comparable on their website subract 5g's and thats what they paid. Of course some of it depends on the model and condition and etc but I am sure they have a general formula but either way you'd make much more money selling it on your own

I think this should be in S2000 Talk - not the Cars For Sale forum.

It's a better deal if your state lets you put trade in price towards another car (for tax relief). It can be worth an effective $1-2k higher (offsetting the hassle of selling privately sometimes).

Looking at some of their list prices, that $5K less than what they plan to sell it for sounds about right.

Visionism0, I'll post what they offer here.

Regardless of what the KBB says, you could put it on craigslist.org and sell it for at least $21K.

Thanks for the input. I figure I can get more selling privately, but I am too busy to list.
Too busy? Hmmm, do you have Craigslist in your area. Takes 5 minutes to post. I just sold a G35 for about $250 less than my asking price...and it was free to list.
