imo its best to goto carmax opposed to a dealership, they will haggle you back on forth because they either take off from the tag or they will take off from your trade in. If they offer more for your trade in they wont budge off the original or not as much.

I've been working at Carmax for 3 years, now part time. I am also a former s2000 but I check the boards occasionally for some reason. In fact I tried selling my '00 to Carmax but it just was not enough for me at the time. I had time on my side so I sold it on ebay and got a little more (emphasis on a little).

Bottom line - if your time and ease are any factors sell it to them. That offer strikes me as very good. Any in my experience, selling this car was not easy - just a limited market. Could you get more then 19k? Sure, but time, hassles, test drives, no shows, phone tag, email tag, they have probs financing, etc etc. Not worth it. But can be done if so inclined. Don't forget, we are entering a slow time for convertibles with the season. Good luck-ash
