I just ordered the clear side markers from Rick's, and want to replace the bulb with a white one, close to the color of the HID's. I looked in the manual, no bulb code, I looked on the bulb, no bulb code. Does anyone know what I replace the bulb with?

 

Just realize I'll need the reverse lights, and rear turn signal bulbs as well, anyone know what they might be?

 

168 wedge is the side markers... I think you can use a 194 as well.

I put Ricks clear side-marker lenses on and at first had amber bulbs in there. I then changed them to blue bulbs (thought they looked cool on my Suzuka Blue ).

Now I'm starting to wonder if they are required to be amber? I "think" that the front parking light/turn signal is required by (Federal?) law to be amber. Are the side lights also required to be amber?? Anyone know?

 

I believe only the front turn signals are required to be amber. If I remember right, Audi puts clear side markers with white bulbs in their cars stock. I ordered white turn signal, running light, and side marker bulbs though, I had them on my other car, and never got pulled over or had any problems with them.

It actually says you can have white or amber in the front but has to be amber on the sides.
