Default Side pipes?

anyone ever seen this? Not sure why i thought of this but i did as i was looking at my car last night.

it would be tough to integrate the pipes into the body (a la viper) but maybe poke them out under the body and crimp the ends for more clearance like in nascar...

OK flame on....

Actually, I think it might look cool, but I believe there are laws that necessitate that an exhaust not exit a certain distance past the passenger(s) doors on a convertible. I believe it's worded in such a manner as to preclude it from being anything but exiting from the rear to be street legal.

i heard side exhausts need to exit "behind" the rear most window, i don't think that convertables factor in to the equasion.

Explain the new Viper and the MB SLR ( I know the SLR is not a convert. but has front exhaust.)

I wonder what they would look like on the S2k also (to stay on subject).

From what I remember reading in the owners manual, I think it is also a jacking point. It may be too reinforced to make sidepipes a reality.

You mean side pipe right? (Not side pipeS)

It's a 4 cylinder car remember. How are you planning to get the exhaust to the driver's side?

Figure out how to get a V6 (or a V8) into the S first, THEN work on the side pipes.
