That is pretty much what I did to fix the factory design. But I think it took me about 20min. and I smoked cigarettes instead

Go for it. It is easy, and will stay in place alot longer then if Honda had done it for you. Plus, like I said before, you won't leave any holes in the body should you ever decided to remove them
