Default Side Strakes--worth it?--functional?--cost?

What are your opinions on side strakes? Who has had them installed? Why? What purpose do they serve? Who thinks them aesthetically pleasing? unpleasing? How much does it cost to have them installed? Do they already come painted to match, or is it a trip to the body shop? Anybody have pictures of them on their s2k? Thank you.

I think the S looks just fine without those ornaments.

Cleaner look without them, IMO.

I don't mind them at all. They look quite good with the rest of the OEM body peises. It's definitely a personal preference thing. As long as you either install them yourself or get a reputable Honda dealership to install them (ie. one that knows how to install them properly) there's no danger of them falling off.

I don't like them either. I particularly don't like that they have to drill holes to put them on, and if they fall off it's gonna look bad.

not a fan of the oem sidestrakes...they look more like a cheap afterthought.

I do like the comptech sides though, as well as the gp sports sides

If they're installed correctly, they won't fall off...

Each to their own

Don't do it man! I have them, and yes, they look good, but if I did it again, I wouldn't waste my money. they are not worth it and don't add enough to justify the cost. Go with the OEM lip and a spoiler, and you will be set!

FWIW, I got mine for free. I definately wouldn't have paid for them...
