Default Single or Dual Exhaust???

I have a question about dual and single exhaust. Which is better for top end and which is better for low end torque. Basically i would like to know which type puts out more horse power, and some suggestions on which type to get, i am looking for a LOUD good performing exhaust so any tips would be great thanks.

The single will generally put out more power and save you some weight to boot. Power gained from the single versus the dual is from the deletion of the wye section. This does restrict some flow.

I think he means the "Y" section - the bit where the single pipe splits into the dual tail outlets.

I,m very curious to know the opinon on this also about people having a single.... I'm thinking of going single also, but want to make shure i dont loose power...

I heard if you want single you must go supercharge or turbocharged? Is this true or you can go single on a stock engine?

No.

Besides, it's just wrong to put a dual exhaust on an inline 4. I have the dual because I didn't know of a way to get rid of the left "indent" yet.
