Slamming and Extreme Camber and Offsets
Of course many of us like unique looks and enhancing the performance of our cars. But I just don't get some mods, particularly slamming the car to where it's scraping, having so much negative camber that only half the tire contacts the ground and so much offset that the wheel will crack the fender over a large bump.
First, although this is subjective, it just looks ridiculous. Second, half of these setups have to compromise the handling. Third, scraping, fender rolling, etc. could all harm the car. Fourth, if you ever sell the car, it's going to have to be converted back to stock to appeal to a larger market.
This all just seems so ricey and immature in a way and could give our cars and owners a bad rap. And flame away all you want, this is just "IMO," so I don't care. I undertand lowering the car an inch or so, getting some wider tires, more flush, aggressive rims, etc., but only to a certain extent. And only something that actually fits the car!
Is this an S2000 fad or is it here to stay? And what does everyone think of these extreme mods?

Its been going on a while. It was a Cali thing for a while and has spread, I think. Nothing wrong with it imo. Most of the time its qulity set ups, like BseriouS or silentdancer. No cheap stuff there. Different strokes for different folks for the most part. I wouldn't rock it b/c its not practical for me, but I still like to be fairly low. (More than a 1"-2" drop).
I agree, same goes with the stretched tire fad. I've noticed a lot of the younger owners do the -16 degrees of camber with tires that are way too thin all while scraping the road.
I personally think it looks absolutely stupid and ridiculous. It looks even worse on those "VIP" rides like the SC/GS/LS that people mod.
