Hm... I wonder if these pics will sway your decision... Actually that was the exact R6 I had. So I wanted a Blue R1.

It's good to see that some of my fellow S2000 owners have such great taste in bikes!!!

I just LOVE the blue of the Yamaha R1 and R6.

However, if you want an exact match for (the original poster's) red S2000, you're not going to get it from Yamaha, you'll have to get a red Ducati.

(I promise I won't add any more to this thread. )

suvh8r, nice try but the R1 is a little out of my league. Both financially and power wise. That deep blue looks amazing on the r1. I never really liked the front facia of the R1 that much, but somehow in those pics. It works. And works very well

I'm actually starting to get used to the power... It's actually EXTREMELY intoxicating. I keep going back for another hit of the torque. It's a drug. I took it out on the twisty roads of the KY hills and it's really nice keeping the revs around 4k and powering out of corners. It's still in break in so I can't even rev it at all. It does scare me sometimes though... got to take it easy between "hits" .

It's great to see all the bike guys in the Forums...

Yep, the fast Japanese bikes are awesome, but those Ducatis have that "something extra." <As was mentioned earlier.>
Great thread...

Or how about a red Honda...the S2000's 2 wheeled cousin? Note the Ducati-esqe seat...I don't even notice it since I only ride it on the track.

Or if you have a silver S2000...

While we are talking about bikes. I'v heard the S said to be a 4 wheeled motorcycle once in a car mag. I though of it as a great compliment. I guess because of the high red line and light weight. Suvh8r would you say that your R1 handles better than the S? I think you'd be able to take a corner with the S a little faster than the R1. Am I correct?

Ace, get the bike. I would recommend the GSX-R 1000, but if you were considering 600 series then I would recommend either the R6 or CBR600

Good Luck.
