Small gaps in between black plastic inside the wheel well and metal
Hey all,
I noticed something disturbing today while airing up my front tires. The black plastic that lines the inside of the wheel well, right at the edge where it attaches to the metal, isn't secured very well. There are gaps between the plastic and metal as if Honda didn't use enough of those plastic screws to secure it. I know it may seem trivial to some but it really bugs me. Does anyone else have this gap or is it just me? Thanks.

I think this can sometimes lead to dirt and grime and god forbid salt to be trapped and might accelerate rusting in those areas. wash those areas off if you have these gaps.
If you look at cars that are 10 years old and showing signs of rust, most often it starts in the wheel well area.

1. Drill some more holes in the plastic and metal and use more retaining clips.
2. Use some gap sealer (black silicon) and fill the gaps. Don't forget, however, that you have to pull the plastic down if you want to change any of the front light bulbs.
