Default Small Lines marks on Rear Glass!

I have a bunch of small verticle lines on the rear windshield on the very top. I think this is from the convertible top when it is down.

How do I stop this from happening?

There are marks, about the width of the spacing between the defrosting lines. They can be wiped off, but keeps coming back when I lower the top. There go all the way across from one side to the other.

Have you ever used "Rainex" glass treatment? It's essentially wax for glass. It makes the glass so slippery I doubt any rubber or vinyl part could make a mark on it after treatment. I use Rainex every time I wash! It's the best stuff ever. A windshield covered in bug marks that is Rainex treated can be wipped off with a dry cotton rag in seconds!

We have the same problem on our car, although to be honest I haven't worried about it or really thought about what might cause it. Let me know if you figure it out and what fixes it!

Don't put the top up and you'll never see them

Same thing happens on my girlfriend's MY05. She took it to the dealer and they told Honda. Honda says that they are investigating this problem because it has been reported more than once.

^ me.

I thought I was being paranoid about the top, but I looked at other S2000s around and they don't have the markings.

I took it to Honda at least 6 months ago (I'm sure it's more). I'm always calling trying to get an update, but the dealership says they can't do anything until Honda calls them about a fix.

About the marks: They're vertical indentations (at least they feel like indentations) maybe a quarter-inch in length. The lines come off when I wash the car and clean the window well. The marks come back after I put the top down.
