Hi. Whenever I put the top back up, there is a small piece of black rubber showing at the base near the trunk. I simply push it back down. Does anyone else experience this? Is it something to worry about? What is this small piece of rubber?

I"m sorry I don't have a camera. The area is where the vinyl roof meets the body of the car, at the roof's lowest point.

Can't figure it out too well,but there should not be any rubber thing,protruding in that area.
There's a black moulding,around the roof opening.

 

It's near the gas tank, but forward, it looks like weather stripping. When the roof goes back up, I push the black rubber strip back down into the well.

 

hey all i kno this is a pretty old thread but i cant seem to find any more information on this topic. i have the same problem as purple haze. i found it today on the car sticking out. when i went to inspect it it came right out. im a bit nervous now seeing that everypart on the car has a purpose and now im missing one (one that obviously is made to hold back water. can anyone chime in and help out. thanx in advance.
