Default Smell removal

I need help!! There was a spill on the seat of my S2K, I cleaned it up but the liquid seeped on through the little holes in the seat. I can't get rid of the smell. It was food with a mayonaise base. I used water and white vinegar, I used baking soda and let it sit for a while. Nothing helps to get rid of the smell. Any help would be appreciated. Steve

Have you tried to "spill" some "Nil Odour" onto the spot and let it sink in? Make sure you check to see that Nil Odour is safe for upholstery. If that doesn't work, I think you'll need to remove the seat and have the stuffing replaced.

I think you learned the hard way that food should only be kept in the trunk of the S.

Exodor is ok to put on your leather...be careful with some of the other products though, they could do more damage than good. PM me if you choose to go this route, we carry this product.

One time when my wife went shopping (in her car not the S ) a package of ground beef got out of one of the bags and she missed it when she brought in the bags. Well after a few days of us trying to find out where the smell was coming from we found the meat in the trunk.

We tried baking soda and several things but nothing worked. We ended up taking the car to a great auto detailing shop by us and they cleaned/detailed the interior and trunk which permanently got rid of the smell. The cost I believe was about $50 but well worth it since it smelled really bad and her car was only about 6 months old when this happened about a year ago. Good Luck

My neighbor was cleaning the trunk of her car and I asked what was up (they weren't car people. Seems she got home from shopping and heard the phone ringing - left the groceries in the trunk. Four days later the half gallon of milk blew up. You could smell it from 30 ft away. Don't know if she ever got rid of the smell.

You might try going to a pet store to see what kind of odor reducing enzyme cleaners thy have. Try whatever looks food on an inconspicuous spot first.

Good luck!
