Typical lamer non-smokers turn this into a discussion about how smoking imposes on their pristine little world. (For the record, I quit smoking about two months ago.)

I used to flick butts with reckless abandon. Have you ever noticed that cigarettes can't fly? They drop straight to the ground!!! It's amazing!! I never worried about anyone flicking a burning cigarette into my car, because it's about as likely to happen as...well, something very unlikely to happen. If it did happen, I'd just have to kick some ass, that's all.

Non-smokers, get off your high horse and take a healthy hike. The beauty of this thread is that it's by smokers, for smokers.

As for the environmental argument, well, I used to roll my cigarettes, so I wasn't flicking those nasty little filters. You may have a point there. But if smokers didn't flick those half-smoked butts, what would all the bums smoke? Think of it as philanthropy, not pollution.

Quit cold turkey almost two years ago.
I never smoked in my cars though. Even on long trips, I would just spend a little more time at the rest stops. And stop more often I guess.

Smoking is simply a slow suicide. That's all I have to say.

Smoking is a (bad) personal choice.
I repect smokers rights but do not wish to have cigarette butts laying about everywhere I travel.

My world would be perfect if there were no smokers.........and no New Yorkers!!!!!!!!

(Yeah Sunchild, thats for your punk *ss)

Thanks, Doug. I found quitting pretty easy, since I was never tempted to smoke "normal" cigarettes (i.e. those that I didn't roll.) I have my moments when I wish I still smoked, especially when I see a pretty girl light up.

BTW, it's nice to hear an enlightened voice. I think we're brothers in a sense, since Mississippi gets a bum rap sometimes, too.

It'll be a year this Feb that i quit. I still get a mild craving every once in a while. What a powerful drug. I personally have no probs with smokers and it's easy for me to relate since it wasn't long ago.
FWIW, anyone who wants to quit, i used Nicoderm CQ, worked like a champ. You have to WANT to quit though.

yes, you have to want to quit. i quit for 7 months and started back into it again because i didn't really want to quit.

i smoke in my car only when i'm on the highway and driving fast so that the wind can remove the smoke quickly. it's a small cabin, you can get suffocated really quickly.

Yes, it is a powerful drug. I quit for 3 years and started up again. The cravings never really go away. If you have quit, stay with it.
