Smoking brakes
I know I am not going to use cross drilled rotors. They look cool but does not survive on track. I have AP Racing big brake for my BMW. Only after 3 track days, they crack badly. Ask Jay the moderator, he have seen my disk laying on the garage. That was a horrible feeling to drive with cracked rotor.

The brake feel is better than stock. It is less numb than even new stock pads and the higher level of friction gives you even more ability to control braking. I would not want to give up this better feel even if there are some drawbacks.
There is going to be a bit more brake dust and rotor wear than stock. No indication thus far that it will be excessive.
During the initial pad bedding (after enough miles to insure a solid contact) you brake repeatedly to get the brakes very hot. I felt braking distances were shorter and it took an amazing amount of abuse to bring on the hint of fade (in fact I wound up with clouds of smoke boiling off the brakes).

Maybe Greg can elaborate on the brake duct work that King Motorsports installed on Nick's S2K: http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...hp?threadid=918
Looks like the ideal solution to prevent overheating brakes at the track.
