I don't mind that what their opinions are...they're entitled to it...as i'm entitled to my own. What really offends me is how people are using the "rice" term to define a modded car or import car or something along those lines. God what is it why use the rice term is it a intended offense against oriental technology or something? I don't call a cadillac an "n_word" car or a corvette a cracker mobile, or cornfeed car, hell i owned a corvette, but i'm sorry to say the whole "rice" thing is offensive to me as import racing is big now not just street wise but professionally and that people of all ethic backgroung is involved in it in all aspects...I feel like i need to create a thread on this...maybe later.

Just venting

it is unfortunate that these folks need to feel a sense of superiority instead of appreciating differences. i posted a reply, but i'm not sure if it took.

I have to agree with KYS2000. I really take offense to people using the term "rice" to describe all Japanese cars. Other than the S2000 being a Japanese car, what makes it rice? That's a term that should only be reserved for all of those slammed Civics, Integras, Accords, etc. with big huge fart tips and spoilers. Even with a few minor mods, I would never consider the S2000 rice.

What kind or reaction did you expected? You went to the BMW board and make subjective claim that the S2k handles better and have better steering feel that the M3. Did you expected praises? I own a M3 and I also like the S2k but if I were to show up on this board and start saying that my M3 is superior than the S2k I am sure I'd get the same response. Sheesh!

No, you would NOT get the same response. Maybe we would tell you to take your opinions elsewhere or something of that order. But all in all, on this board we would give credit where credit is due. We wouldn't defame the car or any thing like that....A car has it's own quirks and strengths as well as it's weaknesses and that is why we are all here. To discuss cars and the things that make us tingle when we drive our machines. All of us just need to chill out and look at what we're doing here....geez.

Don't single a particular car out - you are likely to find drivers of any car (including the S2000) of similar nature.
