Snow tires?
Is it even worth putting snow tires on this car? I would really like to take this car to the "mountains", but I wonder if it can handle snowy/icy conditions even with good snow tires (e.g. michelin alpins) and a careful driver.
For the cost of snow tires and some type of rack for the trunk deck, I might as well rent (or borrow) an suv for the weekends that I am going snowboarding. Still, I have this strange compulsion to turn my car into a winter warrior.
Am I insane? What have others done?

Tell me if you find a rack that fits, and that's removeable, I've tried to fit my 157 inside, it's ok, but I wouldn't like to be the passenger on a 6hours trip to the alps!! (have to remove the bindings though for more practicality...)
And what about snow chains? In Europe you only encounter snow on the roads at High altitudes or during storms, and I could maybe face the shame of driving a Paris-licensed-sports-car-with-chains in the last few kilometers to the resort...
