Always change shocks when you change springs. I had KG/MM springs on OEM shocks, it was crappy ride.

im no expert, but general consensus is that lowering is for looks only unless you go for a high end coilover setup tuned specifically for a track type.

ive driven a tein coilover lowered car and it didn't feel as good as stock.

Why do you want to lower it???
If,it's for looks only,go ahead,and slam it;any kind of "el cheapo'springs,will do.
If you want to maintain,or improve the handling, either leave it like that,or get some JRZ Coilovers.

I've always upgraded the suspension on my previous cars with Bilstein full coilovers or Koni Yellows with a combination of different springs.
I've been debating for a while now about doing the S but I always come back to the same conclusion that the suspension on this car is amazing! I may go with an X-brace later on down the road...but I think I will stay stock.
Stock suspension on my AP1 is

What you are experiencing is the worn stock shocks. Fistable, depending how many miles your car has, your stock shocks are probably pretty worn by now, and even if they are not worn you should still replace them because they are not tuned to damp a lower and stiffer springs setup. Go and get yoruself a set of Koni Sport shocks and adjust the damping to match your springs. Your car will handle like night and day. I could never understand why people get springs and keep the stock shocks. Unless you only care about apparence and not handling.

i believe they're linear. .and i got them just for looks, but i was not expecting anything negative.. especially since all i ever hear about is how good espelir's are.

Front 5.3 kg/mm - 313.60lbs
Rear 7.0 kg/mm - 392.00lbs

those are the rates.

and the shocks can't be worn, they have less than 8000 miles on them.
