Default So Which Batch Of S2000 Would You, As A Current S2000 Owner

So Which Batch Of S2000 Would You, As A Current S2000 Owner Would Prefer To Buy if you were to buy it for the very first time.

Base your opinion from your own personal experience owning an actual s2000.

A biased opinion will be welcomed and considered.

This post is not about AP1 Vs AP2. Let's keep that in mind.

i have owned my 2002 ap1 for well over 10 years. The best s2000 is the ap2 2004- 2005 because the f22c makes significantly more power and tq compared to the f20. The 04-05 still retains the drive by cable and the return fuel system. the returnless fuel system of the 06+ suck because they severely hold back the power potential when going boost.

06, simple cost effective ECU tuning, suspension, and better looks than AP1.

I have a 2003 and a 2006, love them both dearly as I tweak them slightly away from OEM but not too far. Like the drivers feel of the AP1 and the grunt of the AP2.

Just an FYI for Riceball777, the HP output is the same on both versions, the torque was increased on the AP2 but you know that. I certainly agree on the '04-05 F22 cable system instead of DBW.

the advertised hp is the same 240 on the bigger f22 engine but in reality a f22 dynos at least 10-15 whp more 100% stock compared you the f20c. When you add bolt on’s and a tune to both engines the gap in hp is 20whp+. When going turbo with the same exact turbo setup the gap widens even more. On straight 91 octane you can expect 30whp Or more out of the f22c. I personally have seen this countless amount of times Both online and in real life at the dyno. I actually own a f20 and I would rather have a f22 for the above reasons.

advertised hp and actual real hp are two completely different things. Just look at the old v8 bmw m3 and the new turbo m3. The new m3 is rated at 11hp more but in reality it dynos at 50-70whp more
