So close yet so far away
so I am trying to install the DC header... I've got everything off no problems... the bolts are off, the header is off...
BUT
I can't jack the car up high enough to get the header out. There's one way, which is to drop that engine/tranny mount, but without an engine lift at hand, I don't feel comfortable trying to get it off.
So, I am thinking the other other thing I can do is get like a 3 ton jack or a SUV jack to get the car up real high........
Any ideas?
thanks,

Shing, you have identified your only options. When we did my first header, the jack was able to lift the car high enough to get it in/out.
Get a jack that you can lift the car higher with...taking the engine mount out is far greater work.

I got my front end up high with just a 2 ton floor jack by putting front up on stands (from the side of car as high as you can). Then put a small 2x4 on top of the jack and lift at the center engine support brace. The extra inch or two you get lifting the engine is enough to let the header slide down and out towards the driver side.
I pulled the Battery and fuse block under the hood, and installed the headers in from the top. The A/C lines are tight but will move just enough to let the headers drop in place. Never could get it to go in from below by myself. It kept getting caught on the header studs. If you have two pair of hands it might go in easier from the bottom.
