So how should the clutch feel ????? Confusion
I have read a ton of posts on the different clutches and TSB's and just about information overload...
I am not sure if there is anything technically wrong with my drivetrain, but it definitely does not feel adequate at all. There is considerable noise and vibration feedback through the pedal and some, but not excessive through the shifter with the new Spun aluminum from Voodoo, awesome
anyway, I have done no extreme launches or anything crazy, I drive it like a car should be driven, Fast around the corners and a little space between cars at a typical stoplight, not dropping the clutch at 8000 rpm and slamming through every gear on every takeoff.
So, if the driving is not feeling sturdy or adequate at this moderate duty usage is something wrong??? I only assume that everyone does not get a nice vibration when shifting in VTEC range.
I can say that the shifting could be smoother when driving with flip-flops on, not great clutch control with floppy footwear
The dealer drove the car on my last oil change and said it was not slipping as I thought, I used slipping as a general indication of clutch wariness, but the dealer took it to mean literal and to no avail when trying to explain what I meant. I can honestly say that the clutch felt better in the old restored '67 911 than in the 2001 S2000.
Maybe this is my first Japanese performance manual transmission and I am just expecting something different, but it's definitely detracting from an otherwise perfect roadster.

The tranny in the S2000 DOES feel completely different from any car that I have owned......I have no words to describe it...so I am with you there....I think Honda can make the feel of the tranny a lot better and smoother IMHO.
