Nice to know that the dealer near me isn't the only one in the country who still thinks they can get a premium for the car. Although they're down to $2k from the $8k they wanted three years ago.

Mess with your credit? He wanted to run a credit check. Yes, I realize that having your credit checked affects your score, but if your score can't handle a single credit check maybe you shouldn't be buying a car right now. I think if I ran a car dealership and a young male came in looking to drive an S2000 (or anything else that was marginally sporty) I'd probably want to qualify them first too. Too many people out there like the guy on this thread who had no intention of buying but ran it up to 90 mph.

I read this topic with interest, as my car had to be driven about 100 miles (in a trade with another dealership). which means that almost 60 miles were test drives at the original dealership). My paranoic side has me worrying if, as was the case with one poster on this forum, that the car had been taken into vtec range, that is beyond the maximuim rpms for the break-in period. Mt question is this: will such incursions into the "forbidden zone" cause problems in the future. What damage could have been done to the engine? Thank you
