well i popped my hood and realized i was getting some rubbing on the CF cover from the hood. I know i tightened that thing down good like it said in the intructions, i made sure of it because i read about the issue beforehand. Well i decided to take the cover off, and once inside i saw a little puddle of water in the bottom of the box. Not too big, I'd say half-dollar coin sized. How did that get in there? Also noticed the top of the box where they lay the foam tape, and seems like it moved alot, because the glue is still where it should be but the foam is not. And then i go and tighten down the box some more and.... crack... there goes a screw head. WTF? Now the box is siiting even higher because of the lack of support.

Any one else, have the water and foam issue, or am I alone?

 

i kno the rubbing issue is pretty common, ive seen at least 3 of em with that and i think its standard heh. about the water and such im not really sure, possibly a leak somewhere

 

The comptech intake is a nice idea however the overall fit and finish seems unfinished and needing some adjustments. Drill a couple holes for the water to drain out . Use zip ties in unobvious locations to hold it down lower and raise those rubber hood stoppers a bit so the rubbing issues are at a minimum.
