I have never chirped my tires on my 03. But i admit i never understood the concept behind it and have taught myself to drive stick like...4k miles ago.

Anyway to answer your question i believe no your clutch could be fine, its just that you must shift very fast before the rpms drop to the correct speed for the speed of your car thus acting like a clutch drop.

What hes saying is going on is that in your DD when you punch in the clutch and before your shifting the RPMs are dropping too low when going into the next gear thus locking up the rear end for a split second then taking off.

In short, just takes very fast shifting....and I'm going to practice tomorrow (sorry...bored and decided to write out a long reply) anyway hope this helps a little!

play with that car and enjoy it!!

It's a car. Enjoy it. Keep up with maintenance and don't abuse it, you'll have many miles of happy motoring.

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate the sentiments, it is an enthusiast car and was built to be driven like one, I just want to make sure that my driving doesn't cross the line into 'abuse'.

Honestly, I get much more enjoyment out of fast, hard cornering than I do hard acceleration/dropping the clutch/burning the tires.

Thanks!

my 07 does not chirp from 1-2shift. those with 07, does your chirp shift from 1 to 2?
I shift exactly at 8rpm. Should I shift a little higher than that? what the highest to shift?

I can chirp on the 1-2 shift without being over 8k on tires with good tread - maybe it's an AP1 thing.

You're Integra is also FWD, in which case upon reengaging the clutch weight is shifted OFF of the front wheels allowing them to more easily chirp than a similarly powered RWD car.
