Default So what's wrong with Rio Yellow?

In my search for an s2000 over the last week, I had exactly 3 dealers tell me in one way or another that the yellow s2k is less desirable and therefore one could conceivably get a better price. WTF?? Is this pretty much the consensus?

I think that it's just that alot of people don't want to drive a car that attracts so much attention because of the color.

Plus that particular color will chip alot easier and fade very fast . J/K.

i personally like it. YOu could have run into oneof those dealers who is full of crap. In this case though, if you are looking for the rio yellow then this can work to your advantage.

alot of dealers make up sh!t. this is different than your story, but one time i asked a dealer alot of questions about he S that I already knew the answer to i.e clutch buzz, gear crunch, and he just made up a bunch of bull.
this is a good site to do some research before going to the dealer.

I thought the blue with blue interior was the least desirable

It has to do with demand. Grand Prix White for example is listed at least a grand higher than another color of the same year, mileage, condition, etc. for a reason.

That's funny. White is my least favorite color for the s2k.

The dealer is telling you a line of BS, Spa or Rio Yellow are both quite popular colors for the S2000. These two are some of the best shades of yellow on any car today.

only if they can get the red or black interior like the HYPE-WAH

rio and spa and phx yellow are some of the best yellow shade out there, don't let the dealer talk smack on it.
