Color does have a slight but measurable effect on resale prices, according to the edmunds.com Total Market Value calculator. For example, in Los Angeles if you're looking to buy a 2004 S2000 in outstanding condition with 30k miles from a private party, the expected price will be $21540. But you can expect the following adjustments due to color:

silver +79
gray +77
red +28
black +27
yellow 0
orange 0
white -8
light blue -41
dark blue -71

Make of that what you will. The swing is only $150, less than 0.7% of the price, so small as to be hardly noticeable.

I have always heard the yellow is usually the most undesirable color in any car. Like stated earlier, you either love it or hate it. I personally like yellow cars. I think it looks better on some models more than others.
Those figures posted above are interesting, but like they said it's a very small margin of price difference. I wouldn't even worry about it.
I get so many looks at my Laguna. People always tell me how beautiful the color is.

They probably were low on Yellow cars, or didnt have any at all. Dealers are morons.
