Thumbs up Soft top conversion problem

I have done a lot of research before I start to do this.
I already have the PDF tutorial file that has been passed around forum for years.
and I have purchased the OEM glass softtop with "upgrade kit" from Hardtopguy.
but there are still some problems I can't figure out.

1. According to the the PDF tutorial file, the 4th bow is going to be hidden underneath the sleeve after the conversion is done, but I checked out my friend's MY04, which 4th bow is actually sliding outside of this sleeve. I think the reason why we use the sleeve to cover the 4th bow is to cover the elastic band which provides tension between 3rd and 4th bow. but is it possible to install it like the OEM way?

I know this might result in exposure of elastic bands... but isn't it easier to replace the elastic bands in this way? Is the elastic band very easy to lose elasticity?

2. How tight do I have to make these elastic bands while I fixed them on the frame? do I have to make reenforcement like OEM parts at the end of the elastic bands? I am worrying the rivet is going to rip apart those bands very quick...

3. For all the strap around the frame, Honda installed it with a small peice of metal at the end... do I have to do exactly the same way for the extra elastic band I am going to install?

Any body can help me out?.... Please...
Thanks

I guess my description was a bit hard to understand,
so here comes the pic...

The strap and spring are things needs to be installed on MY00 or MY01 frame in order to fit soft top with glass window on it. The strap is easy. but most of the conversion are using elastic band to replace that spring.

Here is the close shot of how the spring is attached to the frame.

After checking with local garage, they said that hook is not hard to fabricate.
but I forgot to take pic of how the other end of the spring is attached to the frame.

Can somebody please provide the picture?
I would like to see if it is possible install the new top in OEM way instead of elastic bands.

Thanks a lot.
