Soft Top Question
I drive an 01 s2000 and the plastic bar that is attached under the plastic window (inside the top) has fallen off. I did a search and came up with no results. What is the best way to reattach the bar? I have tried a few different kinds of glue but nothing has worked.
Thanks in advance

what is this plastic bar you are talking about? the only bars near my plastic window are the metal frames? maybe i will have to take a closer look.
if i were you i would just take it to honda or an upholstery shop and see what they say.

The honda i went to said they dont do any softtop repair work. If you look on the inside of the soft top, about a half inch below and above the plastic window there is a plastic bar going parallel to the window. The lower bar is the one I am talking about.
I dont know if it could be different between the years, but it seems like its fairly common. A random s2000 with a tanabe exhaust pulled up to me the other day and had the same issue, the bar was tearing off starting at the passenger side and going to the driver side. It was the lower bar also. I also knew another person from this area that had that issue. It may just be the heat in Charlotte, but its not really bad. Its only 85ish degrees outside right now.
I guess I will just not worry about it. The only 2 bad things I have noticed is that the plastic window can become wavy when putting the top down. Also when the windows are up and the AC is on the softop starts to flex outward by the window.
If the softtop rips thats just a good reason for a hardtop.
