I bought my MY08 in Sept 2010. It had a patch/stitches on about a 1" long 'L' shaped tear in the top. I wasn't sure what it may have been from, but it didn't leak so I wasn't that concerned with it. I then came across the TSB for the softtop replacement for damage at rear right side, but it also mentioned tears at the latches, which is where mine was. The driver seat also had the typical worn side bolster (but my car only had 16k miles) and the left leg support on the seat base was collapsing. I figured I had nothing to lose so I made an appt for the S to be seen by the regional rep. Needless to say I wasn't holding my breath. After 2 months waiting for him to come in I'll be damned if he didn't approve all my issues for replacement!

Dropped the S off yesterday in the evening, may be done as early as today! New softtop, new seat base cushion, and new seat back cover!

Picked up my car Friday after having the soft top, seat base cushion, and seat back cover replaced under warranty. Needless to say, I'm a VERY happy Honda customer!

 

Lucky you, MY00 soft top ripped right where the latch is out of nowhere. I just put my top up and their was a big hole above it I was so pissed off. I'm assuming I won't qualify for a warranty replacement as my car is a 00?

 

^Yeah don't think that's gonna happen! 11 year old car now..

 

that sux, but hey, at least it lasted u 11 years
